Will I have to disclose any personal information about my mental health?

No. This training doesn’t collect any personal data.

I don’t have a mental health problem, so why am I doing this?

It is vital that the majority who don’t have a mental health problem, help the minority who do. In addition, we will show how you can maintain good mental health. Nobody is invincible.

How long will it take?

45 minutes – 1 hour. See the progress bar at the top to gauge where you are at. You can save and leave the training at any point, and return back to it when appropriate.

What will I achieve from completing the training?

A better understanding of mental health, in addition to a Champion of Mental Health Certificate, which is valid for 1 year.

Are mental health problems real?

Yes. When someone has a mental health problem, changes in the brain, body, and behaviour occur. Some symptoms are visible, others less so. For those with a mental health problem, feeling misunderstood may contribute to their condition.

What are my responsibilities for my colleagues' mental health at work?

Everyone in your organisation has a duty of care to support each other. This will lead to a better workplace culture. This training will show you how to support your colleagues and how they can support you.

Will this training lead to strong emotions?

It is possible. Almost everyone is affected directly or indirectly from mental health problems. If you need to take a break, you can always save the training and come back to it. Finally, if you have been impacted by mental health problems, you are more likely to see the need for training such as this. Educating the workplace about mental health is the first step to creating a positive culture.
