When Does Mental Health Become a Problem?
Many of the symptoms of common mental health problems are normal feelings, emotions or behaviours.
Especially in the current circumstances we find ourselves in, it is perfectly normal to feel worried, tense or afraid.
There are two key distinguishing factors between normal feelings, emotions and behaviours and a mental health problem:
How are you letting these symptoms affect you?
Are you able to carry on with your daily life and not let the feelings overcome you? It only becomes a mental health problem when it starts to have a negative impact on your daily life.
How long are these symptoms lasting for?
Usually, the symptoms would last at least two weeks before it is classified as a mental health condition.
